Senior backend engineer — .NET, distributed systems, AI-facing APIs

I build backends that other people have to maintain, so I optimise for the boring properties: explicit boundaries, a data model that survives contact with real usage, and deployment that a single person can reason about at 2 a.m.

Most of my work is .NET on PostgreSQL, split into services only where the seams are real. I care about the parts that rarely make it into a job ad — migration strategy, backpressure, what happens when a third-party integration goes down for six hours.

The recent thread in my work is building for two audiences at once. A product now has human users and machine users, and the machine ones deserve a first-class interface rather than a scraped approximation of the UI. This site is the smallest honest demonstration of that idea.
